With their first album, Havulinnaan, Havukruunu proved very quickly that they were something special. What you’ll find here is a stream of the album and some pathetically brief but heartfelt praise. The music in this post consists entirely of music that appeared over the last week, beginning with a new album that deserves a full review - which you’ll have to find elsewhere. I suppose I ought to give you at least a short break for recovery, and so instead of packing this Sunday’s edition of SHADES OF BLACK with everything I intended to recommend, I’m saving half of it for Monday. No sane person would test the patience of even the most devoted listener by throwing so many musical recommendations into the void in such a short space of days. The nucleus of a forthcoming album is now under construction with the working-title “Spectre Abysm”, intended to be out at some point in anno-2017.If you scroll down the posts at our site that have appeared since Friday morning, it will be obvious that I’ve lost what was left of my mind. A new glowing era was born and the sole mastermind Daemon maintains his work with Limbonic Art. The following year elements for a new album were assembled then later released in 2010 with the title “Phantasmagoria”. In the aftermath of this release Daemon decided to continue the dark crusade entirely in wholesome solitude, so the long time attendant Morfeus got expelled from the band. The band separated in 2003, feeling they had run out of ideas in addition to some collaboration difficulties, conversely they reformed on June 6, anno 2006, and skillfully created the come back album “Legacy of Evil”. They have furthermore conducted several live-shows by the same token in Europe and USA. Limbonic Art participated in the Mayhem tribute “Originators of the Northern Darkness”, released by Avantgarde Music in 2001 covering the song “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas”. This label also released an official promo tape in 1996 prior to the release of the exclusive debut album namely “Moon in the Scorpio”. Together they swiftly created new material and recorded two rehearsal-demo tapes (consisting of 4 and 5 songs respectively) which gained them a contract with Nocturnal Art Productions. Daemon got in touch with Morfeus after the rather untimely demise of the first line-up. Limbonic Art was formed in 1993 by Daemon, and was originally a full band featuring 3 other members.
